The Baltimore Ravens suffered a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12 by the final score of 28-27. It was a game that came down to the wire after a weather delay postponed the start of the contest by 25 minutes, but a two-point conversion by Jacksonville put them on top for good before a missed 67-yard field goal by Justin Tucker.
Baltimore’s offense couldn’t get anything going over the course of the first three quarters, managing four field goals. They went 2-for-5 in the red zone over the course of the game, leaving 12 points on the board in a one-point loss.
On defense, the Ravens held strong for three quarters, but collapsed in the final frame, giving up 18 points to the Jaguars on their final three possessions. They gave up multiple chunk plays throughout the contest, with cornerback Marcus Peters being in the area of many different completed Jacksonville passes.
Up next for Baltimore is a Week 13 showdown with the Denver Broncos at M&T Bank Stadium. Denver is a 3-8 football team with an offense that has been reeling, but if the Ravens’ can’t figure out how to be more consistent as a team soon, there could be big changes incoming.
