The Ravens’ NFL-record preseason winning streak is no more, as Washington kicker Joey Slye nailed a field goal from 49 yards to hand Baltimore a 29-28 loss at FedEx Field.
Washington second-year quarterback Sam Howell dazzled on the night, going 19-25 passing for 188 yards and two touchdowns.
Ravens quarterback Josh Johnson finished 10 of 12 for 145 yards and two touchdowns. He also had an interception where Commanders defensive back Jartavius Martin took the football away from James Proche in the end zone.

Anthony Brown has good first drive
Looking to keep pace with Josh Johnson, Brown led Baltimore on a 10-play, 85-yard drive on the Ravens’ first drive of the second half, connecting with tight end Travis Vokolek for a 17-yard touchdown.
Brown was 4-for-4 for 28 yards and a TD on the drive.

Keaton Mitchell has a frustrating night
Mitchell is battling Melvin Gordon for a roster spot, and his night ended early with a shoulder injury. He finished his second preseason outing with one lone carry for 31 yards.

Travis Vokolek's monster night
In a battle for the third tight end spot, Vokolek matched Charlie Kolar, logging three catches for 28 yards and two touchdowns.

Anthony Brown is making things tough
Brown is battling Josh Johnson for the third quarterback spot. He finished this night 6 of 10 for 40 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
New additions making plays
Two of the Ravens’ recent additions got in on the act against the Commanders.

Trenton Simpson
The rookie linebacker has worked back from injury and his first showing of the season was to poor from a tackling and awareness standpoint.
