Yorkshire Awards have confirmed Lindsey Burrow completes the list of winners of the 34th annual awards ceremony. The inspirational wife of Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow will receive the Woman of the Year award at a Gala Dinner on 3rd March 2023.
Since Rob was diagnosed with Motor neurone disease (MND) in December 2019, Lindsey has become the heartbeat of the Burrow family, taking care of her husband, who she met aged just 15, along with their three children, Macy, Maya and Jackson. Rob has described his wife as a "superhero" on multiple occasions.
People have flocked to social media to praise Burrow, whose strength and courageousness through the most challenging period of her life has captured the hearts of the nation. Nicola Christiansen Tweeted, "Well deserved! She is AMAZING! Congratulations." with Rhinos fan Rick Buxton posting, "100% fully deserved..."

A worthy winner, the rugby league community has rallied around the Lindsey and the Burrow family in their time of need and dipped their hands into their pockets as another Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield has raised over £7m pound for MND charities. His most recent challenge saw the England rugby union coach run seven ultra-marathons in as many days. But now, it's time to honour Rob's remarkable wife, and it will be a special moment for the family when she receives her award at The Hilton in Leeds City Centre.
