Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights is set to terrify guests once again with the return of the Insidious franchise in an all-new haunted house experience titled 'Insidious: The Further.'
The haunted house, inspired by the hit supernatural horror film series, will immerse visitors in the dark and chilling world of the Insidious movies. Spanning all five entries in the Blumhouse Productions' film series, 'Insidious: The Further' promises to plunge brave souls deep into a paranormal dimension filled with tortured souls and demonic entities.
This isn't the first time the Insidious franchise has made an appearance at Halloween Horror Nights. The last immersive experience was in 2017 at Universal Studios Hollywood, tied to the fourth film, 'Insidious: The Last Key.' The upcoming haunted house will be featured at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando Resort this year.
For those unfamiliar with the Insidious movies, the storyline revolves around the Lambert family, who face malevolent supernatural forces after their son is possessed by a demonic entity. The franchise, which began in 2011, has garnered significant success, with a sixth film scheduled for release in August 2025 and a spin-off in development.
'Insidious: The Further' will transport guests through iconic locations from the films, leading them into The Further, an ethereal realm inhabited by ghosts and demons. Visitors will encounter various paranormal entities, including the Bride in Black, The Man Who Can't Breathe, the Red-Faced Demon, and the menacing KeyFace, as they race against time to escape the sinister dimension.
Halloween Horror Nights kicks off at Universal Orlando Resort on August 30, 2024, and at Universal Studios Hollywood on September 5, 2024. Tickets are now available for both events, offering horror enthusiasts the chance to experience the spine-chilling world of 'Insidious: The Further.'
In addition to 'Insidious: The Further,' other major movie franchises like Ghostbusters and A Quiet Place will also be featured at this year's Halloween Horror Nights, making it a must-visit event for horror fans worldwide.
With a lineup of ten haunted houses at Universal Studios Orlando Resort and eight at Universal Studios Hollywood, more announcements about the event are expected in the coming weeks, promising a thrilling and unforgettable experience for attendees.
