It's the TV show that has got everyone talking - from Piers Morgan, to Eamonn Holmes and The Chase star Anne Hegerty.
This Morning has sparked fury amongst viewers over the past week, as hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were falsely accused of skipping the queue to see the late Queen lying-in-state.
A petition was even created calling for the pair to be sacked, despite ITV clarifying they did not jump the line and were in fact at Westminster Hall in a professional capacity. The petition has reached more than 55,000 signatures and counting.
Behind-the-scenes at the popular daytime show, channel bosses are rallying around Holly and Phillip, as some viewers have threatened to boycott the programme.
A source told The Mirror: "There are huge, real and serious concerns over their wellbeing and ITV is fully supporting them behind the scenes in the face of such relentless trolling.
"The channel backs them 110 per cent."
Rumours about Holly's future on This Morning started circulating on Tuesday, with some people falsely claiming she felt she had been "hung out to dry" by producers.
Now an ITV source has put the record straight and confirmed that Holly will not be leaving her position.
"Holly will not quit. She has been devastated by all the negative reaction after she turned up to work at Westminster Hall with Phil on Friday, but she's not going to resign.
"This Morning has been her life for more than a decade and the only way she'd consider quitting at this stage is if viewers really didn't want her there," they told The Sun.
The source added that show bosses know Holly is a "hit with viewers" and are counting on her remaining "for a good while yet."
Sources also told The Mirror that a tearful Holly was forced to speak to a lawyer over the weekend following the intense bullying she has received online. They added that she has decided not to engage a law firm full time.
Phillip and his co-star shared an "emotional SOS phone call" after becoming "really worried" by the false claims they skipped the queue.
"Phil and Holly started to become really worried about the situation on Friday night.
"They spoke at length and decided they had to do something to protect themselves and the reputation of the show," a source told MailOnline.
At one point, Holly is thought to have come close to deleting her Instagram account, which has attracted hate-filled comments under a picture she posted of tributes her children had made for the Queen.
She has stopped posting on the social media platform amid the drama.
The insider added: "It’s left her so upset and unable to look at social media over most of the last few days.
"What was meant to be a lovely tribute to Her Majesty on her Instagram account has been hijacked by trolls.
"One thing that has come out of this though undamaged is Phil and Holly’s friendship."
Adding to the week from hell, This Morning was hit with almost 400 Ofcom complaints from disgruntled viewers who were unhappy with a controversial update to the Spin To Win game.
The daytime show had already received 170 complaints for a "dystopian" twist to the traditional format which gave players the chance to win payment of their energy bills.
It has now been revealed that a further 209 complaints have been made to Ofcom – bringing the total now to almost 400.
ITV has issued a statement regarding the queue skipping drama, hoping to set the record straight with viewers.
A post on their social media page read: "Hello everyone, we would like to clarify something. We asked Phillip and Holly to be part of a film for this Tuesday’s programme.
"They did not jump the queue, have VIP access or file past the Queen lying in state - but instead were there in a professional capacity as part of the world’s media to report on the event."
