Everyone knows there is no such thing as a normal family. And that’s without the family patriarch being one of the most beloved directors of the past 50 years — plus all the fame, fortune, and media scrutiny that come with it. But the family of When Harry Met Sally director Rob Reiner and acclaimed photographer Michele Singer Reiner were, by Hollywood standards, pretty normal.
The family comprises four children: Tracy, 61, whom Rob Reiner adopted from his first marriage, and Jake, 34, Nick, 32, and Romy, 28, the children of Rob and Michele. They had their struggles, including their son Nick’s hard-fought addiction battle, which was the inspiration for Reiner’s 2015 film Being Charlie, yet they remained close-knit throughout.
