The Welsh House will open in the old Marco Pierre White restaurant in Swansea this week. The brand, which already has venues in Cardiff and Neath, will launch in Swansea on Friday, July 7, in the J-shed buildings of Swansea Marina. The Swansea venue which is now taking bookings was originally expected to open in May prior to the new Neath venue, which opened last month.
With a focus on locally-sourced Welsh food and drink and sustainability, the restaurant and bar is home to SA1's largest outdoor drinking and dining area. It is licensed until 2am and The Welsh House aims to become the go-to place for dinner and late-night drinks with live music every weekend from local Welsh artists. HD screens throughout the venue will show sporting events so you can watch the game while you enjoy a drink.
The Cardiff restaurant and gin bar of the same name opened in the city centre in February this year. Marco Pierre White also helped to create the menu. You can get more Swansea news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
