Shocking images have revealed the disgusting conditions a man left his helpless dogs to die in.
Police found the skeletal remains of three dogs in the filthy flat after neighbours complained about the smell of decay and 'maggots coming through the ceiling'. Paul Wynne, 42, was spared jail earlier this week after pleading guilty to three charges relating to the treatment of animals in his care.
When officers visited the property in Rockford Avenue, Kirkby, they were faced with a scene of horror as they found the trio of dogs in an advanced state of decomposition, the Liverpool ECHO reports.
