Ange Postecoglou has revealed it took just one Zoom call with Alistair Johnston to be convinced the Canadian action man could be his Old Firm warrior.
The full back has gained instant cult hero status among Hoops fans after just 15 games – including three blockbuster displays against Rangers. Johnston was the star man on Saturday as Celts dug deep to see off their rivals and hammer home their dominance at the top of the Premiership.
The 24-year-old was chucked in to the Ibrox cauldron for his debut back in January when Postecoglou’s men secured a crucial point and he was in the thick of it at Hampden as his club lifted the Viaplay Cup with another win over Gers.
