In a recent revelation, a former journalist from the Central African Republic has come forward to expose the Russian disinformation campaign in the country. Ephrem Yaline-Ngonzo, who was recruited by Kremlin-backed Wagner forces, shared his story of being coerced into spreading Russian propaganda in the region.
Yaline-Ngonzo revealed that he was tasked with writing articles praising the activities of Russian forces and the local military government, as well as organizing anti-Western demonstrations and suppressing dissenting voices. However, he grew increasingly uncomfortable when asked to fabricate information to silence critics, leading him to question the ethics of his involvement.
