Shane Warne's luxury apartment in his beloved city of St Kilda has reportedly been sold by his family.
The legendary leg-spinner, who took 708 Test match wickets for Australia in a stellar career, was on a break in Koh Samui in March this year when he was found dead in his villa. The harrowing news was met with widespread grief, and the all-time great was later honoured in a poignant memorial service at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
He left behind children Summer, Jackson and Brooke Warne, as well as ex-wife Simone Callahan. And now his family have reportedly taken the step of selling his extravagant property, that that star bought for around £5.7 million.
According to The Herald Sun, they have agreed a private sale to an anonymous buyer. The new owner is thought to have paid more than £0.5 million more than 'Warney' himself paid.
The former World Cup winner had played a pivotal role in designing his dream beachside pad, which appropriately was numbered 23. This was the personal choice of Warne, who wore the number on the back of his Australian ODI shirt throughout his career.
And the new occupier will now reap the benefits of a personal club and spa, as well as private catering, a wine director, personal stylists, childcare, car washing, laundry services and housekeeping. The abode also boasts a a gold-class private cinema and 3000-bottle wine cellar.
Property developer Tim Gurner said he had been working with the family to secure a deal: "Shane was an extraordinary man I cared a lot for and would have loved to have him in the building and his energy," he said, via The Sun.
"We have been working with the family to assist wherever possible in the sale of his home.
"As with all purchasers we won't comment on who they are due to the number of high profile owners in the precinct."
Gurner added there were a number of interested parties in Warne's pad, saying: "We are planning a campaign very soon however had a number of buyers interested in Saint Moritz who had missed out, so it sold very quickly."
