RTÉ broadcaster Caitriona Perry has welcomed her second child with husband.
The RTÉ News Six One anchor shared the wholesome news on Instagram with her followers, alongside a selection of congratulations cards.
Caitriona said: “Some #goodnews …Delighted to announce the arrival of a beautiful baby boy.
“Thanks to the wonderful doctors and midwives for ensuring his safe arrival. On #matleave now but will be #backsoon #rtenews #sixone Thanks for all the well wishes and queries.”

Several of the broadcaster's followers took to the comment section to congratulate her.
Miriam O’Callaghan said: “Wonderful news - congratulations Caitriona to you all.”
Maia Dunphy added: “Oh Caitriona! What lovely news! Congratulations to you all.”
While a fan said: “Congratulations caitriona I'm so delighted for you, and hope the small little boy is going well. See u on #sixone soon xx”
Caitriona is already a mother to a three-year-old daughter with her husband.
Caitriona is extremely private, and prefers to keep her spouses identity away from the public eye.
The anchor keeps her family life out of the public eye, which she has done throughout her impressive career.
In the 2021 December edition of Irish Country Magazine, Caitriona revealed her husband doesn’t work in the media, and spoke about daughter ever wanting to be in the spotlight.
She wrote: “My husband doesn't work in the media and doesn't want people to know his name and that's fair enough. Now that I have a daughter, it will be up to her to decide when. she's older whether she wants her name in the public or not."
“I feel like so much of our lives are shared now through social media that you have to keep something back for yourself.”
“I think your work is your work and your home life is your home life and you should be able to separate them.”
Back in April, the Journalist shared the happy news after eagle-eyed fans spotted her with a bump on the TV.
Responding to well-wishers on social media, Caitríona acknowledged her happy news and thanked viewers for their support.
Posting a picture of flowers, she wrote: 'Just wanted to say a quick thank you to the many keen-eyed RTÉ viewers who have been in touch with good wishes.
The Dubliner, 41, is the current co-anchor on the Six One news on RTÉ One.
Caitriona has been in the role since January 2018 after finishing her last post as the RTÉ News Washington Correspondent.
She worked across television, radio and digital platforms reporting on politics and all sorts of US related news.
During her tenure in Washington DC, Caitriona reported on several major stories including the Berkeley tragedy and of course the US Presidential election and inauguration of President Trump.
