Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has long enjoyed all the perks that come with sitting on a frankly staggering amount of wealth and even bankrolled the most successful period in the history of Chelsea Football Club.
One of the most impressive items in his stunning array of luxurious items is without doubt the oligarch's huge Boeing 787 private jet, purchased in December of last year. Abramovich is best known for flexing his financial muscles in the form of mega-money moves for Chelsea but he clearly has more than enough to splurge on himself when he sees fit.
The 55-year-old used to take to the skies in his 767-300ER, but became just the third human on the planet to privately own 787-8 last year - the other two are the property of the Mexican government and a charter firm. There was very little turnaround time between selling his former jet and purchasing the new and improved one.
According to Forbes, Abramovich's current plane set him back £269million - £77m of which was spent on things such as a lavish cabin and other stunning features. The jet has ended up under the ownership of the sanctioned Chelsea owner by some degree of fortune, as it was originally meant to Swiss operator - PrivatAir.
However, the company declared bankruptcy in 2018 and was therefore available for Abramovich to purchase. The jet was built three years prior in 2015, spending a further four years in storage before it was transferred to Basel airport in 2019.
Two years later the aircraft and all of its 224 square metres belong to the Russian. The plane can seat 50 passengers, 10 security personnel, 10 staffers and 30 guests before taking to the sky. There are very few pictures of the inside of the plane, but it is documented that it boasts a seating area, a kitchen serving fresh food, several bathrooms and bedrooms.

The Chelsea favourite's last plane was hardly anything to be scoffed at. Three guestrooms, a reading room, dining room, living room and two guest bathrooms could all be found inside the jet. Abramovich is still reeling from the sanctions placed on him by the UK government last month due to his close ties with Vladimir Putin.
The Russian's superyacht was expected to be seized, given so many other oligarchs had theirs taken due to the sanctions. Abramovich was quick to set his on the move to try and evade any action from the authorities.
The lengthy saga to determine who will succeed Abramovich as Chelsea owner is thought to be nearing its end as the final four bidders have a deadline of late this week to submit their last proposals before a decision will be made.
