An urban explorer has discovered the abandoned home of an RAF pilot and found it full of “porn, Viagra and gun shells”.
Daniel Sims, 32, from Huddersfield, explored the derelict Upton Farm property near Chester with friends Mickey and Shaun earlier this month.
He decided to visit after scanning possible abandoned places online and while browsing Google Maps stumbled onto the old property.
Daniel believes the farm was occupied by a RAF pilot, but it is unknown how long it has been derelict for, with very little known of its history.
In footage filmed for his YouTube channel, BeardedReality, Daniel, Mickey and Shaun make their way into the kitchen through an open back door, immediately coming across Spam and various food tins – as well as some more surprising items.
Picking up a magazine, Daniel said: "Ah I've found porn, how do I just find porn every time, every place I go?"
They then make their way into the old living room, where they find an old box TV and photographs, as well as various RAF documents.
In another room they find an old radio, more photographs and birthday cards.
In the hallway they find display cupboards, still filled up with plates and glasses, as well as horse memorabilia and jackets still hung up inside.
Upon exploring, they learnt that the ex-RAF pilot was also a car salesman and may have worked in the supermarket Asda in his final years, as they found an Asda jacket hanging from coat hangers.
Upstairs, they come across the bedrooms, where they find old furniture, shoes and sheets.
They also find an old magazine from 1981, a Werther’s Original tin, hospital tags and letters.
In the bedroom, they find a pair of dentures and more stacks of porn.
He said: " Jesus, we've got Escorts, Hustler and Mayfair here!"
In another bedroom, they come across shotgun shells.
David added: "Baby shotgun shells, like 65s. But yeah, shotgun shells, bet there's one of his guns rocking about."
While in the same room they also find a ventilator tube - with some mucus still stuck to it.
"This house had everything left behind from his life, we found things relating to his time in the RAF,” Daniel told NeedToKnow.online.
"It was stocked with food and his own personal mini-bar seemed to be used quite a bit.
"We found Viagra and many pornographic magazines and Escort issues, and condoms showing he was quite an active guy.
"We even found shotgun shells in a suitcase on his bed.
"There were many collectibles left in the house that would be worth a tidy sum to the right collector, as well as many personal letters.
"We were all thrilled as the place was left with pretty much everything from the previous owner, meaning we were able to discover more about the place and see what was left behind.”
The remote home appeared to have been ransacked at some point.
Daniel said: "We assume it could've been police or thieves looking for weapons, but surprisingly, so much was left behind here and not stolen.
"The place itself could easily be restored and make a lovely home but for now, remains derelict."
Daniel also posted a video on his TikTok account @BeardedReality where he shared clips of the house, where it gained more than 220,000 views and 2,000 likes.
One user commented: "Sad it was left, sad no family collected his belongings and sad no one respects his memory."
Another user commented: "I find it very sad when these houses are left."
"Sad it's all be left to rot away,” said another follower.
Another viewer said: "Dreadfully sad, old guy probably died alone in that house without any family."
Daniel and his friends spent around 90 minutes on the property, while taking videos and photos, before leaving the house how they found it..
