From "love at first sight" and being in the midst of a toxic family feud, Noel Gallagher and Sara MacDonald confirmed the news of their split after 22 years together earlier this week.
The former Oasis man, 55, and music publicist Sara, 51, have been married since 2011 after first meeting in an Ibiza nightclub in 2000.
The estranged couple have two sons; Donovan, 15, and Sonny 12, who will "remain their priority" as the divorce proceedings begin following the demise of their relationship.
The Wonderwall singer is said to have moved out of their Hampshire home and currently living alone in North London following the split.
Both parties have been in the crosshairs of Liam Gallagher during the brothers' toxic feud over the years, which has inadvertently got fans excited over an Oasis reunion after the news of the couple going their separate ways was confirmed on Friday evening.
A representative for the former couple told the Mirror : "Noel and Sara will continue to look after their children who remain the priority.
"They ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."
Fans of the newly-single star could prompt a long-awaited Oasis reunion, with it previously reported Sara's strained relationship with brother-in-law Liam was a major factor in the band's 2009 split.
Noel and Sara first met in a Ibiza nightclub 'Space' in 2000 while the singer, who described the moment as "love at first sight" was still married to first wife Meg Matthews.
He and Meg, who Noel shares daughter Anais with, divorced one year later citing grounds of adultery, which the Mancunian claimed was not true but was used as a ploy to speed up the process.
Noel and Sara briefly split two years later, amid reports Sara found Noel "too childish" to wed and have more kids, but went on to reunite and welcome two children into the world together.
The former couple exchanged marriage vows in 2011 at the Lime Wood Hotel in Hampshire — with Noel's brother Liam missing out on an invite - and comedian Russell Brand being his best man.
It's believed Sara was strongly opposed to Oasis reuniting, after Liam once reportedly called her 11 times in one night to hurl insults back in 2002.
In 2018, Liam responded to a fan who tweeted the Beady Eye singer: "Any chance of an oasis reunion anytime soon?"
He said: "I'm up for it anytime the other fellas Mrs won't let him as it's to rowdy for her she's app POSH [sic]."
