One of the criticisms aimed at Manchester City this season was that they were too serious. A joyless winning machine with no room for drama or excitement.
City rubbished that argument on Sunday with a remarkable 3-2 final day win against Aston Villa, scoring three goals in five second-half minutes to overcome a two-goal deficit and clinch the Premier League title.
After former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho had put Villa 2-0 up with a little over 20 minutes to go, City's title hopes lay in tatters. The Blues knew a win would guarantee the title, but somehow they had conspired to mess it up.

But we should know by now that City never, ever give up. Ilkay Gundogan headed home a superb Raheem Sterling cross to half the deficit, and before the celebrations had had chance to die down, Rodri slotted home from the edge of the box to draw City level.
From that moment there was only ever going to be one winner, and three minutes later Gundogan sparked wild celebrations when he tapped home Kevin De Bruyne's teasing cross.
Winning the title - City's fourth in five years - in such a dramatic fashion called for some serious celebrations, and City's stars were only too happy to oblige.
The first team staff, coaches and players enjoyed a night out at The Ivy in Manchester on Sunday night, with the club booking out the entire roof terrace of the high-end Spinningfields bar.
The celebrations lasted until past 3am on Monday morning, with family and partners accompanying the players and posing for photos as they arrived.
Jack Grealish, revelling in winning the first major honour of his career, kicked off City's epic night out at the Etihad Stadium shortly after the full-time whistle. He published a photo on Instagram of him drinking a bottle of beer, with the caption: 'Ooffffftt, the first of many.'
City's £100million summer signing hinted at the party that was to come during a post-match interview with Sky Sports. Speaking on the pitch during City's celebrations, pundit and former City player Micah Richards said to Grealish: "Before you go, Jack, can you just say something to Sophie? She's Gary's daughter, she loves you!"
To that, Grealish replied: "What camera am I looking at? Hello Sophie, I hope you're bringing your dad out tonight, and we'll have a great night celebrating!"
Later on, Grealish, along with the likes of Pep Guardiola, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and City's match-winner Gundogan, were photographed arriving at The Ivy for a well-earned celebration.
Judging by some of the photos of the players leaving the bar in the early hours, there might be a few sore heads today. However, they'll dust themselves down ready to party all over again, but this time with thousands of City fans lining Deansgate for an open-top bus parade.
"Hopefully tomorrow we can celebrate in the Manchester streets with our cigars and beers," Guardiola said after the game. "I will be bringing my cigars, don't worry!"
The parade is set to depart from Exchange Square at approximately 6pm, working its way south down Deansgate before culminating with a live stage show near Beetham Tower.
If last night's party is anything to go by, then it promises to be a day of celebration to remember.
