Manuel’s life in the UK has been defined by movement. Since arriving in 2001, he has drifted between temporary homes and casual work, losing stability as quickly as he found it.

Two months ago, Manuel, 53, arrived in London after following a friend’s advice. He was directed to The Connection at St Martin’s Place — a day centre offering support services for adults experiencing homelessness.
