Coronation Street star Elle Mulvaney’s life away from the cobbles is very different to that of her character Amy Barlow.
The actress joined the ITV soap in 2010, aged just 10 years old, taking over the role from Amber Chadwick.
Amy is the daughter of Tracy Barlow and Steve McDonald, and the character recently celebrated her 18th birthday, with fans gobsmacked that they had seen her grow up on screen.
“I can't believe Amy is 18 - I remember the episode when she was born,” one stunned viewer tweeted.
In real-life, Elle is very close to her character's age, and the 19-year-old actress began acting when she was four.
She attended the Carol Godby Theatre Workshop in Bury, and has been in showbusiness ever since.
Away from Weatherfield, Elle went Instagram official with her off-screen boyfriend Euan Marsden, and she regularly shares loved-up snaps of the couple on Instagram.
“Valentines,” she captioned a sweet snap of the couple looking adoringly at each other, as they prepared to head out on a date night.
She lives with her family - and their two dogs Bowie and Ziggy - in a stunning home, which features a gorgeous winding staircase, chic colour scheme, and a large entrance hall.
Elle’s bedroom is very swish, and she’s previously shared pictures of her crushed velvet bed with mirrored bedside tables, huge gold mirror and ensuite bathroom.
The actress also enjoys letting her hair down with her fellow Corrie co-stars, and has formed a close girl gang with other young women on the soap.
She said she’s grown up with Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha Alahan, and the duo regularly hang out with Harriet Bibby, who plays Summer Spellman, and Millie Gibson, who plays Kelly Neelan.
“We play a little girl gang and I’m really close to them. I grew up with Tanisha, she’s been on the show just as long as I have,” she told OK! “Having Tanisha there from the beginning has just been so beautiful for us both because we’ve both experienced the same things. We all have.
“And Harriet and Millie have joined more recently but we all just really get along. We’ve got a Snapchat chat and an Instagram group so we all keep in touch,” Elle sweetly added.
