Ireland's most expensive house is on sale for an eye-watering price.
The palatial five-bedroom home sits on an exquisite garden estate of 10 acres overlooking Dublin Bay. Drumleck House was built in Howth in the 1830s and is now on the market for a whopping €10 million.
The luxury home has some fantastic features like two swimming pools, access to the sea, staff cottages, and an abundance of beguiling outbuildings. On entering the home, you will be greeted by a stunning entrance hall with 26ft high stucco ceilings, a fine stone chimney piece, a glittering chandelier, a cantilevered staircase, and a chequerboard marble floor.

The home enjoys plenty of natural light thanks to its traditional French doors and large sash windows that look out to breathtaking ocean views. The interconnecting drawing rooms boast polychromatic marble, antique crystal and lustrous mahogany.
The west-facing dining room can hold over 20 people making it perfect for dinner parties. The dual-aspect kitchen with double doors to the patio at one end and slender arched windows at the other is filled with an abundance of natural light. Additionally, the TV/living room has been described as "a place to entertain kids during the day but which later becomes a chic adult retreat, ultra-comfortable and with one of the most compelling sea views Drumleck has to offer".
The beautiful garden was designed by John and Gertrude Hunt, who lived in Drumleck from the 1950s to the 1980s and developed many of the formal features. The garden flights of antique granite steps lead the visitor from a walled garden at the highest point of the site, down several terrace levels. The upper terrace has some lovely surprises such as Chinese terracotta warriors, a herb garden, and a white garden.
The next level gives access to the house and pools, the descent guarded on both sides by classical columns. You can view all the photos on Daft.ie
