A couple have revealed what it's like inside an abandoned school, with some rooms left looking like lessons have never stopped.
Becky Starr, 35, and partner Rikki, 37, from Stevenage, found the building in Hertfordshire and were able to explore inside on 22 January.
"In some places, it was still like it would be in use," Becky said.
"However, some parts were starting to fall apart, with plaster falling off the walls and mould starting to appear in places."
Carer Becky and Rikki, who works for a company making police helmets, regularly explore abandoned buildings and found out about this place from a local group.
They aren't revealing the exact location to avoid it being destroyed by thieves and vandals.
Although they did not have permission to explore, they entered through a window, which was open and unlocked.
Once inside, they found classrooms, the assembly hall and even the old canteen, still full of kitchen equipment.
Many of the rooms still had chairs and other items left behind when the building closed in 2015 with this school was merged with another.
The pair enjoyed exploring some of the places that used to be full of kids, including the science labs, complete with gas taps for Bunsen burners.
Some rooms they came across had changed dramatically though, as plants have sprung up everywhere.
Becky said: "There was one room that was absolutely taken over by nature and it was amazing to see. It did however smell very damp in there.
"The most interesting part about exploring it was to see an older style school just sat there empty."
After posting a video of their adventure on TikTok, the couple received over 100,000 likes and thousands of comments.
One said: "Think of all the memories that happened there especially science that was jokes."
Another added: "You sure it's abandoned looks better than the one I left in 2020."
A third said: "A shame the way these building, homes, & places just get left to rot with all the memories left to nothing more than whispers in the walls."
Others claimed it looked just like theirs or like one from their favourite shows.
Someone wrote: "It gives me waterloo road vibesss."
A second added: "Now I’m starting to think every school looks the same mine looks just like this ( but clean obvs )."
