Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s luxurious, Grade-II listed apartment in west London is currently available to rent for £4,550 per month.

The property developer and his wife, Princess Beatrice, are swiftly becoming one of the extended royal family’s most stylish couples, spotted recently at Wimbledon and at the National Gallery’s inaugural summer party.

Now, you can rent his bachelor pad — if you have the cash to spare.

Based in upmarket Lancaster Gate, overlooking Hyde Park, Mapelli Mozzi’s one-bedroom apartment covers the first floor of the stucco-fronted, Grade II-listed townhouse.

At 980 square feet, the property features a mezzanine bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and smart ensuite and guest bathrooms.

Designed by Mapelli Mozzi’s own company, Banda Property, the flat combines period features – high ceilings with original plasterwork; a marble fireplace; long, arched Victorian sash windows – with contemporary touches.

There is a modern kitchen with floor-to-ceiling glass Crittall doors and an open-plan living room and dining area.

Intended to be a “cosy, welcoming space”, as Banda Property puts it, the apartment is full of hidden storage, and the kitchen packs in two ovens and a separate wine fridge.

There’s a muted colour scheme – greys; beige; pale wooden parquet flooring – with flashes of colour, like the mustard yellow velvet sofa.

There’s a sketch of a dog in the kitchen, but a cushion in the living room is emblazoned with the words “No dogs on this sofa”. Mixed messages.

The property was the former home of Alexander Murray, 8th Earl of Dunmore, who was a soldier, journalist and politician – and became the first journalist to receive the Victoria Cross for bravery in 1897.

Mapelli Mozzi wrote recently on Instagram: “I love the heritage and history of old buildings and the fact that each and every one is different, there’s a genuine authenticity in that.”

Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi married in Windsor in 2020, and are rumoured to soon be moving to their newly-renovated £3.5 million farmhouse in the Cotswolds, after living at St James’s Palace in Westminster with their daughter Sienna.

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s Lancaster Gate property is currently available to rent for £4,550 per month with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
