Skye McAlpine is fanatical about Christmas. So much so that hers is a three-Christmas-trees kind of house: there’s one in the living room, one in the kitchen and one on the landing by her sons’ bedroom (which they get “creative licence” over).
“I think the tree is the real magic,” says the cook, author and writer of the festive season. Said trio of trees (all real) in her Wandsworth home will be strategically positioned by the windows where possible, “because I love walking out at this time of year and seeing people’s twinkly lights on inside dark houses — there’s something really magical about that.”
