Bruno Guimaraes is taking an English lesson every day in order to improve himself even more at Newcastle United.
The 24-year-old put in a sparkling display against Wolverhampton Wanderers to pick up the man of the match award on Friday night but after moving his family and family pets to Tyneside a close friend of Bruno told Chronicle Live: "He's focused on speaking English - and fast!"
His dogs Mel and Ragnar were jetted over from France in March as the midfielder looked to replicate his family life on Tyneside and settle in after his £33.5milliom move from Lyon. And as each game goes by, it is looking like his early adaptation methods are paying off royally.

It was only in January 2020 that Bruno arrived in France to sign for Lyon without speaking a word of French but every day he went away and studied language skills and was quickly conducted interviews to French TV and renowned newspaper L'Equipe. After United's win over Wolves, and just a couple of months after arriving at Newcastle, Bruno was speaking to TV reporters again in English.
His focus is to adapt and communicate with everybody at the club from security guards each morning to management staff and players. Bruno's celebration with a young supporter after Chris Wood's penalty summed up his sense of community spirit too. Bruno has not only proved his is a fantastic talent in Newcastle's midfield, but the Brazil international epitomises the type of star United are looking to sign these days.
After the game, Eddie Howe, speaking to NBC Sports, said: "Bruno has the technical ability that we want in a midfielder. He has a great attitude and brilliant character. He is very determined to achieve. He is a really good age (24) so I think he will grow with us.
"He ticked all of the boxes in terms of what we were looking for in that moment. But yeah he would epitomise the type of signing that we want to make."
The Brazil international may have put in a champagne performance against Wolves but he did not celebrate with a drink like supporters did on Friday night as some city centre bars were drunk dry. Bruno said last month to Sky Sports: "I don't really like to drink alcohol, I don't really go out. I like to spend a lot of time with my girlfriend, my parents and my dogs - playing video games too plus catching up with friends. I'm really focused on what I want to do, plus I want to be the best I can."
Bruno's exquisite back-heel at Southampton won the game on the South Coast back in March and set United on their way to Premier League safety. And while Bruno may not admit it he is potentially United's next captain and already possessing the ability to communicate he will not let standards drop in the final seven matches.
That was the accusation that former boss Sam Allardyce volleyed towards Newcastle players after the second half against Spurs last weekend when they ended the game with a 5-1 defeat. Since then the players held their own inquest and Bruno certainly had his say on that.
It was obvious, after being rested against Spurs, that Bruno had to start against Wolverhampton and the way he rolled the ball about on Friday night suggested Newcastle can hit new levels if they start adding more stars like the midfielder. Newcastle could have one of the club's greatest midfielders ever on their hands as fans hope the Magpies are on an upward trajectory.
