A luxury train carrying a special coronation headboard pulled into Edinburgh's Waverley train station on Saturday to celebrate the crowning of the new monarch.
The train was adorned with red, white and blue bunting and union flags decorated the tables during the journey from Derby to Edinburgh.
The 1930s Pullman-style carriages were full of excited passengers who all wanted a photo with the headboard that read: "King Charles III. God Save the King”.

During the journey, people joined together to raise a glass of champagne to toast the new King and Queen Camilla.
A Northern Belle spokesperson said: “There was a great carnival atmosphere during the journey. It was a right royal occasion – a Belle of a Coronation aboard Britain’s most luxurious train.”
The Class 40 engine (Owned by The Class 40 Preservation Society) has a rich history that dates back to the 1950s when it was introduced as part of British Railways' modernisation plan.
These powerful locomotives were used for both passenger and freight services and were a familiar sight on the rails for many years.

The train has been described by Channel 5's Bill Nighy as "the Grand Dame of Luxury Travel", and will be departing from Edinburgh on several occasions this summer.
In September 2023, the train will be hauled into the capital by iconic steam locomotive , the Flying Scotsman.
The spokesperson added: "That will be a trip not to be missed. The world’s most famous engine coupled up to Britain’s most luxurious train!"
Train fares for these journeys will begin at a whopping £295, and more information can be found on the Northern Belle website here.
