These haunting pictures reveal the interior of an abandoned funeral home.
A sinister scrawling of "REDRUM" - murder spelt backwards - adorns one of the doors inside the property in South Carolina, US.
The word was infamously daubed on a door in the horror film The Shining in one of the most terrifying scenes in cinematic history.
The South Carolina funeral home seems to have been abandoned in a hurry and locals still refuse to discuss its hidden history.
The owner of the building was said to have taken his own life, leaving behind a a collection of bizarre items in the home.
These include a creepy clown doll, casket brochures, Styrofoam wig stands and funeral records.
The home was built in 1895 as a grand Victorian mansion, before being later repurposed as a funeral home.
Storms have damaged the roof and windows in recent years, however the building is still standing.
A hearse sits untouched in the garage of the home, where the owner was rumoured to have killed himself.
Pictures of the property were captured by urbex explorer Ben James in South Carolina, having found the hidden property through local rumours.
Mr James said: "I found out about this funeral home from the local town hall records.
"It's quite hidden away and the librarian said it had some sort of tragedy there, so I was curious to check it out.
"The whole building is very eerie up a long driveway and it's like something out of a horror film.
"The inside is totally silent and has a very foreboding atmosphere.
"The garage where the owner hung himself is very sinister as the keys were even left inside the hearse.
"I think what appeals is I'm a big horror fan but also these places are like personal museums except they haven't had people inside for many years.
"The mortuary was straight out of a horror film, especially with all the equipment left and even the deceased files."
