Roxy Lanes
The popular bar and bowling alley is relocating from its current home in Bond Street to the Headrow attraction. The new Roxy Lanes will be three times its Bond Street predecessor - which opened in Leeds city centre back in 2014.
This brand-new gaming hub will incorporate all the elements of existing Roxy venues along with some new games that have never been seen in Leeds before.
Roxy Lanes at The Light be opening to customers on Friday, February 11.
Hama
From the team behind Yokohama, based in Roundhay, the venture will be welcoming people from across Leeds city centre to its new Woodhouse Lane venue this spring.
They’re taking over a 100-capacity restaurant in the Merrion Centre. You can look forward to trying over 40 Korean dishes at Hama.
Salt Craft + Falafel
Salt Craft + Falafel will be based in a newly-refurbished site at Granary Wharf, which was previously Craft Asylum, with the venue set to serve award-winning beers, cocktails and Middle Eastern street food.
This will be the second Salt venue in Leeds and it is opening on Friday, February 18.
Founder Jamie Lawson said: “We wanted to extend our presence in Leeds whilst still offering something different.
“We were blown away by the reception to Salt Leeds Craft + Cocktails and we wanted to offer a little bit of diversity in a fast-growing area of the city centre.
The Ivy Asia
The prestigious brand The Ivy is opening a second restaurant in Leeds city centre. The company is launching their fourth The Ivy Asia in our city after enjoying success in Manchester and London.
There will be Oriental flavours, eye-catching cocktails and weekend events. The Ivy Asia will open in Leeds this summer.
Saucy Chicks
After enjoying success across the UK, Saucy Chicks, will be opening their first Yorkshire venue in Leeds. Based across from the First Direct Arena, you’ll be able to try lots of tasty fried chicken delights.
Saucy Chicks will launch in February in Merrion Way.
Blue Pavilion
A new Chinese luxury restaurant and karaoke bar is opening at the Merrion Centre in Leeds.
Blue Pavilion comes from the owners of the award-winner Blue Sakura brand. It is said Blue Sakura will invest around £2million in the premises based in Merrion Street with the new venture set to create up to 50 jobs.
The restaurant will be able to accommodate 130 covers while there will also be a VIP private diningroom and the K Kube karaoke venue. There will be seven rooms in K Kube with the new restaurant and karaoke bar set to open in the summer of 2022.
Riva Blu
Many fans of the celeb chef Gino D’Acampo were sad to see his Park Row restaurant close at the end of 2021. This spring, it is expected the site will open again, rebranded as Riva Blu.
On the menu, you’ll find dishes such as beef carpaccio and aubergine parmigiana. While, Gino D’Acampo is working on opening new restaurants in Yorkshire.
