Putting battery storage on utility poles, using electric vehicles to put power back into the grid, and accessing solar energy in apartment complexes could become a reality sooner.

These are some of the outcomes expected from 14 projects aimed at boosting the capacity and stability of the national grid which are set to receive a share in $30 million.
