The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing to take on the New York Giants on Monday night. For the Steelers, top priority for the offensive line is to do their best to minimize the damage done by defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.
This problem is only made more difficult by the presence of edge defender Brian Burns. But when the Giants’ Friday injury report came out, Burns went from being a limited participant on Thursday to DNP a day later. Burns is currently dealing with groin and Achilles injuries.
With Burns out of the lineup, the job of starting left tackle Dan Moore Jr. gets much easier, Moore, along with starting right tackle Broderick Jones have had their ups and downs this season. But this week, all eyes will be on center Ryan McCollum and rookie guard Mason McCormick as they try to contend with Lawrence in the middle.
