Watching return specialist Jakeem Grant Sr. go down on the opening kickoff in the preseason finale between the Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs was heartbreaking. Just a year removed from a season-ending Achilles tear, Grant Sr. will once again be sidelined for the whole year as he suffered a ruptured patellar tendon on the opening kickoff of Saturday’s matchup.
Unfortunately, as the Browns look to cut their roster down from 90 to 53, this means Grant Sr. is likely to be waived with an injury settlement. Now 30 years old with back-to-back season-ending injuries, this might be the end of the road for the 2022 All-Pro returnman.
