TE Geoff Swaim

Arizona Cardinals tight end Geoff Swaim (87) gives a thumbs up while being carted off the field after an injury during the second quarter against the San Francisco 49ers at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Dec. 17, 2023.

Swaim suffered a calf injury on Sunday against the 49ers and did not return. He was seen on the sideline in a walking boot but, when he went to the locker room late in the game, he was walking very gingerly.

With only three games left this season, this might end Swaim’s season.

TE Trey McBride

Dec 17, 2023; Glendale, Ariz, United States; Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride (85) celebrates after a first down against the San Francisco 49ers during the third quarter at State Farm Stadium.

McBride left the game with a shoulder injury. He later returned and said he didn’t even notice it the rest of the game. But we will see if there is any precaution taken in practice this week.

QB Kyler Murray

Dec 17, 2023; Glendale, Ariz, United States; Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (1) lays n the ground after a hit by San Francisco 49ers defensive end Clelin Ferrell during the third quarter at State Farm Stadium.

Murray took an elbow to his private parts, which caused him to leave the game for a couple of plays. He was still a bit uncomfortable after the game but he likely won’t miss any time.

CB Garrett Williams

Williams did not have an announced injury during the game and played in 44 defensive snaps. However, he had an ice pack on his left knee after the game, so that will be something to watch for on the Cardinals’ first injury report of the week on Wednesday.

Brown, hampered by a heel injury for almost a month, could not finish the game for the second straight game. He did not have a catch or target in the game.
