Injured mountain biker rescued after falling in Scots forest

An injured mountain biker was rescued after suffering a fall in a Scots forest.

Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team (TVRMT) raced to Glentress Forest, near Peebles, at around 3.30pm on Sunday, July 17.

Meanwhile, staff from outdoor activity organiser, Ridelines MTB, treated the rider at the scene, while waiting for an ambulance.

The individual was then transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service following TVRMT's 35th callout of 22.

TVRMT said: "Ridelines coach did an excellent job treating the casualty and managing the scene until we arrived with SAS.

"We wish the injured rider a speedy recovery."
