An injured man was taken to hospital after a late-night incident on a Northumberland street.
Paramedics and police attended Milburn Road, in Ashington, at around 11.15pm on Friday, February 3. A man with injuries was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, for treatment.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 23.15 on February 3 to reports of a person injured on Milburn Road in Ashington. We sent a Hazardous Area Response Team and an emergency ambulance crew and took the patient to RVI."
Northumbria Police were contacted but have yet to release a statement as to the nature of the incident or to confirm if any arrests were made. The condition of the injured male was also not known.
On Saturday morning, no cordon was in place but a police car could be seen travelling up and down the road.
