Info sought over Sydney pub brawl death

Police have renewed a plea for information after a fatal bashing in a brawl outside a Sydney pub. (AAP)

Police are seeking information from multiple people after a 23-year-old man was fatally bashed during a brawl outside a Sydney pub.

The Sydney man was involved in the fight between two groups on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst in the early hours of April 9.

The 23-year-old was found unconscious with serious injuries when emergency services arrived at the scene.

Police believe he sustained critical head injuries after being punched.

He was taken to nearby St Vincent's Hospital where he died two days later.

Detectives from Surry Hills Police formed Strike Force Nadzah to investigate the death.

They are now appealing for assistance to identify a man they believe can help with the investigation.

At the time of the brawl he was wearing three-quarter length khaki pants, white shoes and had no shirt on, NSW Police say.

The man has dark hair and is not believed to have assaulted the 23-year-old, but police believe he was with the group involved in the fatal attack and may be able to assist investigators.

Police have also renewed their calls for any witnesses to the fight, including a group seen walking across a pedestrian crossing, and a man and woman who were seated on a bench across from the incident.

Three men arrested and charged with affray over the incident remain before the courts.

No one has been charged over the assault.
