Fashion lovers have fallen head over heels for a River Island co-ord that’s an absolute ‘must-have’. The pink boucle blazer and skort combo looks to be inspired by a vintage Chanel suit, once work by Jackie Kennedy.
Influencers Simone Charles and Alex Serruys , who have a combined following of around 120k, have both been spotted in the bold outfit - and shoppers say they ‘need’ it.
River Island shared the outfit on Instagram, captioned: “Introducing the must-have pink suit” which gives off some serious Legally Blonde vibes.

The co-ord is made up of a pink boucle crop jacket and matching skort - a skirt and short hybrid - complete with decorative pockets and zip fastening on the bottoms.
Together, the outfit would set shoppers back £106, costing £69 for the jacket and £37 for the skort . Available in sizes six to 18, the jacket has a cropped fit and crew neckline, with long sleeves and a button fastening, while the skort is an oh-so noughties mid-rise fit with a wrap design.
The brand has also suggested that ‘Barbiecore is high on the agenda’ with Barbie pink set to be a real trend throughout the rest of 2022.
Fashion fans have rushed to the comments section on River Island, Alex and Simone’s posts, with ultrasophisticate writing: “IN LOVE”. Rebecca_rose_stylist added: “Obsessed!”
“Love this outfit, definitely want to try the Barbie look” said linda_tgirl_2017, while isobelkeating commented: “I NEED this co ord.”
As well as being worn together for a striking put-together look, the blazer and skort can also be worn as separates, creating more outfits with fewer wardrobe pieces.
