The Army on May 13 said an infiltration bid was foiled and the infiltrators were engaged in a gunfight near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla.
“Infiltration bid by militants foiled in the Uri Sector of Baramulla. There was an exchange of fire between militants and own troops,” the Army said.
“There are no reports of any casualties so far. The operation is on in the area to trace any infiltrator who managed to sneak in,” officials said.
