Gianni Infantino, the head of world football's governing body Fifa, on Sunday redeclared his intention to continue until 2031 as the sport's most powerful executive despite calls for his resignation over his botched plan to sell a stake in Fifa competitions to private investors.
"The Fifa president announced in April that he will stand for re-election in 2027," a Fifa spokesperson said.
