Infant in 'critical condition' after being rushed to hospital following Louth incident

An infant has been left in a "critical" condition in Temple Street hospital after an incident in Louth - which Gardai are now investigating.

Officers are probing "all circumstances" surrounding the reasons that the infant was taken to the Dublin hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

The baby is currently receiving treatment.

A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí in Drogheda are investigating all the circumstances which led to an infant being admitted to CHI, Temple Street on the 13th of September, 2022.

"The infant is currently in a critical condition. No further information is available at this time."
