Convergence 3i, an ‘Industry-Institute-Interaction’ event was conducted by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM IMD) in the city in virtual mode, recently.
The invited audience for this program were the Final Year degree students from across India, young executives and students from Mysuru and surrounding areas who had completed their degrees.
SDMIMD students and faculty and several CII members from Mysore were present for the event.
Ms. Supriya Salian, Chairperson- CII, Mysore Chapter delivered a talk on “ COVID-19, WFH and Beyond: Opportunities for the Indian Youth” and she highlighted the current business scenario and its realities.
Later, a panel discussion was held on “ How can I prepare myself to become more valuable to my employer: an employer’s perspective”. The participants included Dr. Dharma Prasad, Convener of the Industry-Institute Panel, CII Mysuru and three students - Ms. T. Jeyashri, Mr. A. Swaroop Tehsildar and Mr. Guru Pranesh. Dr. S.N.Prasad, Deputy Director of SDMIMD was the moderator of this discussion.
In the discussion, both the views of the employers as well as the aspirations of the youth were brought out by the panelists. Over 120 students from across India participated in the event and the question-answer session.
