A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being involved in an industrial accident in Dundee.
The incident took place in the North Marketgait area of the city around 3.15pm yesterday.
Emergency crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, attended the scene.
The 53-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital.
Medical staff have described his condition as serious.
It has been confirmed that a joint investigation between Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive is now underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the event.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.15pm on Friday 25 March, 2022, police received a report of a man being injured in an industrial accident on North Marketgate, Dundee.
"A 53-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious.
"A joint investigation is under way involving Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive."
