The Skytrax World Airline Awards are based on an annual passenger satisfaction survey conducted from September 2025 to August 2026. The survey received 24.8 million eligible entries from customers across more than 100 nationalities and covered more than 300 airlines.

The latest recognition comes as IndiGo continues to expand its domestic and international network while focusing on operational performance and low-cost air travel. The airline said it has flown nearly 900 million customers since its launch in 2006 and now carries more than one million customers every three days.

IndiGo CEO Willie Walsh said, "IndiGo’s journey of 20 years so far, reflects our relentless focus on operational excellence and hassle-free experiences. It is also a testament to the enduring trust and confidence our customers have consistently placed in us over the last two decades and we thank them for their continued patronage and support.”
