IndiGo and Air India Group will progressively shift domestic and international flight operations from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) starting December 2026.
The move is part of a broader plan to redevelop CSMIA’s Terminal 1 by 2030. It will also free up capacity at the existing airport as operations expand across Mumbai’s two airports.
