
There was a rare moment of bipartisanship in Canberra on Wednesday as the major parties came together to pass a law clearing the way to hold this year’s Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum.
A bill aimed at updating the rules or “machinery” for holding referendums in Australia cleared the Senate on Wednesday evening as the wording of the question to be put to the Australian people was finalised.
