Indigenous lands to be put on the map in Australia

Traditional Aboriginal place names will be put on the map for millions of smartphone users worldwide after a four-year project between Apple and local Indigenous groups. 

The US tech giant announced the update on Thursday that will also show Indigenous reserves and protected areas and reflect traditional place names in other programs, such as weather and location apps.
