India is preparing to take its high-speed rail ambitions a step further, with plans to develop and manufacture indigenous bullet trains capable of reaching a design speed of 350 kmph by 2030.
The proposed train, referred to as B35, is part of India's broader push to build domestic expertise in high-speed rail technology. According to a TOI report, the planned train would have capabilities comparable with Japan's next-generation E10 series, which is also scheduled to enter production in 2030.
