India's gross GST revenue up 14.8% on year to nearly Rs 2 lakh crore in August

India

India’s gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue rose 14.8% year-on-year to Rs 1,99,853 crore in August 2026, compared with Rs 1,74,116 crore collected in the same month last year, according to provisional government data released on Tuesday.

However, GST collections declined from Rs 2.11 lakh crore in July 2026.
