The Ministry of Coal reports India’s overall coal production reached 69.75 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) in July 2026, marking a 7.51 per cent year-on-year growth compared to the 64.88 MT produced in the same month last year.
During the period, coal dispatch grew to 86.33 MT, at a growth rate of 17.34 percent, according to the Ministry of Coal, highlighting the Ministry’s sustained efforts to ensure consistent supply and operational stability in the sector.
