Indianapolis Colts make several practice squad moves following loss to Texans

The Indianapolis Colts announced several practice squad moves on Monday following Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans.

Offensive tackle Sebastian Gutierrez and interior lineman Josh Sills were signed to the practice squad. In order to make room for those additions, the Colts released offensive tackle Jack Wilson and signed safety Ronnie Harrison to the 53-man roster after Trevor Denbow was placed on injured reserve.

The 6-6 – 308 pound Gutierrez went undrafted in 2022 out of Minot State. He has spent time with Cleveland, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New England, and Kansas City. Gutierrez appeared in one regular season game during the 2022 season on special teams.

Sills is a familiar face. He was claimed on waivers by the Colts in August of 2023 after being released by Philadelphia. He appeared in seven games on offense for Indianapolis that season, playing 36 snaps, most of which game at right guard.

Sills was with the Colts through offseason programs and the start of training camp. He would leave the second preseason game with an ankle injury and was later waived-injured.

Wilson, meanwhile, was signed to the practice squad a few weeks ago. Measuring in at 6-11 – 310 pounds, Wilson went undrafted this past April and spent most of his college career playing basketball for various schools.

His collegiate football experience came during the 2021 and 2022 seasons with Washington State, and primarily as a special teams player.

Following these moves, the Colts’ practice squad is currently at full capacity.
