Indian women’s hockey team chief coach Janneke Schopman believes the team’s tour of Australia will help her assess where the team stands as compared to the other top teams of the world.
On Wednesday, Hockey India announced that the Indian women’s team will travel Down Under and play five matches from May 18-27 at MATE Stadium in Adelaide. While Savita & Co. will play three matches against the senior national team, they will face off against Australia A in the remaining two games. The tour will also help the players prepare for Asian Games to be played later this year.
