Indian woman killed in road crash in US, family says she could not be saved even after 3 surgeries

A 23-year-old Indian woman, Navya Nelakuditi, died on April 9 while she was undergoing treatment after a car accident in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her aunt, Sirisha Nelakuditi, who is raising funds for her body to be sent to India, said Navya died at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where she underwent three major surgeries.

Navya moved to the US last year for her Master's degree. On the day of her accident, she was returning home from an internship interview in Michigan. The other passenger involved in the accident survived.
