Indian-origin UC Santa Cruz student dies as car plunges from cliff into ocean, male driver escaped with minor injuries

A 19-year-old US Santa Cruz student, Alli Renee Singh, was killed when a car that she was not driving plunged off Santa Cruz's iconic West Cliff Drive on August 13. The fatal crash took place near Streamer Lane, which is a world-famous surf break where massive waves touch the cliffs.
